Homeless Hotline is a phone information and referral service for people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk on homelessness. 

Homeless hotline helps:

  • Single people aged over 16
  • Sole parents with children
  • Families
  • Couples
  • Those experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness

When you call, you will be provided information about where you can find support, accommodation, meals or showers.  In some cases you may be referred to other services to help you further.
Anyone experiencing a personal crisis or thinking about suicide can contact Lifeline.  Regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation, trained volunteers are ready to listen, provide support and referrals.

Free legal advice about bail, diversionary options, being charged with a crime, talking to police and youth justice issues. 

Monday - Friday 8am to 9pm
Saturday 7am to 12 midday

QSTARS - TENANT ADVICE AND REFERRAL SERVICE - Ph: 1800 527 527

QSTARS is a free independent advice and referral service for all Queensland renters.  QSTARS can assist you with:

  • Advice and assistance to understand your tenancy rights and responsibilities
  • Support to resolve your tenancy issue
  • Advocacy support to talk to your lessor or agent
  • Help to write a letter or fill in tenancy forms
  • Help to attend or prepare for a QCAT tenancy tribunal hearing
  • Referral to other services if needd

Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm (with extended hours to 7pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
DV Connect is a state wide telephone service offering anyone affected by domestic or family violence a free crisis hotline. 

DV Connect can arrange practical assistance such as counselling, intervention, transport and emergency accommodation for people who are in danger from a violent partner or family member.
